Why do we need single-use technology?

A large amount of money is needed for the development of biological drugs from concept to full commercialization. People must test the drugs under development at the lowest possible cost. The one-time production technology has the advantages of excellent cost efficiency, safety, high operational efficiency, and small impact on the environment. The production line and cell culture process with bioreactor as the main body are the hardware driving force to promote the technological innovation and technological improvement of large-scale animal cell culture, and the basis to enhance the production efficiency, production scale, and product quality of the biopharmaceutical. The only way to realize the large-scale industrial culture of mammalian cells is bioreactor culture.

What are the savings in single-use technology? 

Due to the time saving, the one-time technology shortens the preparation period from 5-10 days to 1-2 days compared to the traditional stainless steel reactor, which translates to an additional 4 batches. Most importantly, the risk of cross-contamination is greatly reduced.
